Fernando Urbina
Fernando Urbina

Secretary General

Fernando graduated from Harvard College with Honors in 2022, having studied Government and Ethnicity, Migration, & Rights. He served on the Board of Directors of the Harvard International Relations Council, as Under-Secretary-General for Business and Under-Secretary-General for the Economic and Social Council & Regional Bodies (ECOSOC) at Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN), and chaired GCMUN twice. Fernando currently works as the Chief of Staff for Upsolve and ImmigrationHelp.org, and was named to the Latino 30 Under 30 list in 2022 for his advocacy work supporting immigrants. Fernando really enjoys coaching soccer and going on hikes with his puppy.

Angela De La Curz

DISEC Director

Angela is a Junior at Harvard College studying Psychology and Economics. She is currently serving as the Under-Secretary General of Administration for Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN), but has been chairing committees for the past 6 years. She is also active in Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) and WorldMUN. Aside from her involvement in Model UN, she is also an Analyst for Harvard Undergraduate Consulting on Business and the Environment and a Research Assistant for the Stress and Development Lab at Harvard University. In her free time, Angela enjoys photography, playing her guitar, and finding new music on Spotif

Jacob Hersh

Jacob is a rising senior at Harvard studying Applied Mathematics with a secondary in Statistics. He is originally from Highland Park, Illinois, which is a suburb outside of Chicago. He has previously served as the Under-Secretary General for Administration at Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN). He has also directed both the IMF and UNICEF at Harvard Model United Nations in 2021 and 2022. Outside of Model UN, Jacob loves biking along the Charles River and listening to music.

Galadriel Coury

SOCHUM Director

Galadriel is a senior at Harvard College studying Economics, Educational Studies, and Modern Standard Arabic. She has served as Secretary General of Harvard National Model UN – Latin America and Under Secretary General of Finance for Harvard National Model UN Boston, among other roles. Galadriel is currently preparing to teach high school math, and continues to work on teaching diplomacy and communication skills to students. In her free time, Galadriel likes running and reading history audiobooks.

Desiree Rickett

Desiree Rickett

SPECPOL Director

Desiree is in her third year at Harvard College, studying Economics and Government. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Harvard International Relations Council, as Under-Secretary-General for the General Assembly at Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN), and has chaired HMUN, HMUN Latin America, and HMUN India. Desiree has worked for a law firm and fintech company in the past, and will be working as a banking analyst at Capital One this summer. In her free time, she enjoys coaching MUN, crocheting, dancing, fishing, and traveling.

Juan is a rising senior at Harvard College completing a degree in Government and Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. He has served as the English, Spanish, and Portuguese Committee Director for Harvard Association Cultivating Inter-American Democracy, as a member of the DIAS for Harvard National Model United Nations, moderator for Harvard Model United Nations, and as director of the Citizenship Tutoring program at the Institute of Politics at Harvard. He is currently completing an international service project at a migrant refugee shelter in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and upon graduation he aspires to obtain a master’s in public policy before attending law school. Juan thoroughly enjoys learning world languages, traveling, and engaging with students!

Jonathan Zhang

onathan Zhang is a Harvard senior studying Social Studies and Computer Science. Born and raised in West Bloomfield, Michigan, he attended the United World College (UWC) in New Mexico as a Davis Scholarship recipient prior to Harvard.
During his time at Harvard, Jonathan has served on the Board of Directors of the Harvard International Relations Council, was the President of International Relations on Campus, Secretary General of HMUN India and HNMUN-LA, and served as the USG-Crisis for World MUN.
He is the COO of Global Research and Consulting (GRC), a pro bono consulting group for high-impact social organizations and nonprofits with 21 university branches and 1000+ active members.
Fluent in Arabic, Spanish, and Mandarin, he has the personal goal to speak the top five languages in the world before turning 25. His research investigating the geopolitical impact of China’s Belt and Road Initiative and its intersections with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 inspires him to spearhead US foreign developmental policy.

Will Schrepferman

IAEA Director

Will is a junior at Harvard originally from a small town in Indiana. He is studying Government + Data Science. His past MUN experience includes competing at the collegiate level as Harvard’s Head Delegate, as well as directing at seven Harvard conferences in the past few years, including the Boston editions of HMUN and HNMUN as well as HNMUN Latin America.

Sama is a junior at Harvard studying international relations. She went to a large high school in southern Virginia, USA and focused her time in high school on global politics and world affairs. She has worked at the U.S. Department of State and for a U.S. Senator. She has been doing MUN since high school and is a member of the Harvard competitive MUN team.

Joseph is a senior at Harvard College studying Economics. He is currently serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard International Review, on the Board of the Directors of the Harvard International Relations Council, and has served as an Under Secretary General at HMUN.

Choetsow Tenzin

​​Choetsow is a fourth year at Harvard University pursuing a joint in Social Studies and East Asian Studies with secondary in Educational Studies. She served as Under Secretary General for General Assembly for Harvard National Model United Nations 2022, Director for HMUN’22, and HNMUN’21 Legal Committee. She has also taught a course on the United Nations/Model United Nations Decorum for high schoolers and directed committees similar to MUN. Beyond MUN, Choetsow writes for the Harvard International Review and is currently writing her Senior thesis on Foreign Direct Investments in China. Outside of school, she enjoys trying new food spots, dance, and curating monthly Spotify playlists.

Fatoumata is a senior at Harvard. She is studying government; ethnicity, migration, and rights; and Spanish. She is currently Secretary-General for Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) and a member of the Board of Directors of the Harvard International Relations Council. She has served as Under-Secretary General for Operations at HNMUN and Under-Secretary General for Committees at HNMUN Latin-America. She also loves reading, snacking, and listening to music!

Lena is a senior at Harvard College studying Government and Middle Eastern Studies. She is originally from Swarthmore, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, but grew up between the U.S., Egypt, and Jordan – an experience which drove both her interest in international relations and passion for MUN and expanding international educational opportunities. Lena is thrilled to be chairing for GCMUN after having previously directed at HMUN Boston, HMUN Dubai, HMUN China, HNMUN, and WorldMUN, competed for Harvard’s Intercollegiate Model UN team, and served on the Secretariats of HMUN Boston, Dubai, and China.

Ines De La Morena

Ines is a current Junior at Harvard College studying Government and Economics. She has been involved with Model United Nations since her Sophomore year of high school, back in 2016. She has co-chaired DISEC for Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) and staffed HMUN as an Operator. Last year, she was president of the Harvard Association Cultivating Inter-American Democracy (HACIA), the largest Model UN conference in Latin America. Ines enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
