GCMUN 2025 Staff Volunteer Opportunities

GCMUN 2025 is excited to announce the opening of several staff positions to past participants and MUN enthusiasts. As a member of the GCMUN team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional experience and learning environment for all participants. This fast-paced opportunity will place you in a position of responsibility, testing and nurturing your skills and natural talents in a professional setting.

Available Positions:

  • Delegate Services Staff
  • Committee Assistant Directors (limited positions)

Whether you have previously attended our conference as a student and are seeking a new perspective, or you are passionate about Model United Nations, we encourage you to apply. We welcome dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team.

Each application will be carefully reviewed, and we will provide constructive feedback to all applicants, regardless of the outcome. As this is the first time GCMUN is opening these staff positions, opportunities are limited. However, we are committed to expanding our team as our conference continues to grow.

GCMUN Core Staff: GCMUN’s staff comprises experienced volunteers from around the world, all dedicated to fostering a dynamic and educational MUN experience.

Who Can Join?

Anyone with a passion for Model United Nations and relevant experience is encouraged to apply for a staff position at GCMUN 2025.

Applicants should have prior experience participating in Model United Nations conferences, ensuring they possess a solid understanding of MUN procedures and dynamics. While not mandatory, previous experience as a staff member at MUN conferences is highly valued, as it demonstrates familiarity with the responsibilities and challenges of organizing and managing a successful conference.

Additionally, all applicants must be high school graduates, ensuring that staff members have the maturity and educational background necessary to handle their roles effectively. If you meet these criteria and are eager to contribute to an enriching and dynamic MUN experience, we invite you to apply for a staff position at GCMUN 2025.

What is expected from a GCMUN staffer?

As a GCMUN staff member, you are expected to embody the following qualities and commitments to ensure a successful and enjoyable conference experience for all participants:

    • Your enthusiasm for Model United Nations should shine through in all your interactions. This passion will inspire delegates and contribute to a vibrant, engaging atmosphere.
    • Stay informed about global issues and MUN procedures to effectively support and guide participants.
  2. Dedication:
    • Commitment to your role is essential. Be prepared to invest time and effort in your responsibilities, both during the conference and in the preparatory stages.
    • Demonstrate reliability and accountability, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
  3. Cooperation:
    • Teamwork is at the heart of GCMUN. Collaborate closely with fellow staff members, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
    • Maintain open communication channels, share ideas, and contribute to problem-solving efforts to ensure smooth operations.
  4. Fun:
    • While professionalism is crucial, it’s equally important to create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Engage with delegates, teachers and fellow staffers in a positive and friendly manner.
    • Encourage and participate in social activities, helping to build a sense of community and camaraderie among all conference attendees.

What are the task associated with Delegate Services?
  • Ensure the smooth operation of delegate-related activities.
  • Provide support and assistance to delegates and faculty advisors throughout the conference.
  • Facilitate effective communication between delegates, teachers and the conference administration.

 

What are the tasks associated with Committee Directors?
  • Support the Committee Directors in managing committee sessions.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of materials.
  • Help maintain order and ensure procedural rules are followed.
