Pedro Luis Farias
Pedro Luis Farias

Secretary General

Pedro graduated Harvard College Magna Cum Laude with Highest Honors in 2020. He served as President of the Harvard International Relations Council, chaired GCMUN twice, and participated in all of Harvard’s MUN conferences (including HMUN, HNMUN, WorldMUN, HACIA, HMUN India, HMUN China, HMUN Dubai, and HNMUN LA). Pedro also served as President of the Brazil Conference at Harvard and MIT, which brought together leaders including Warren Buffett, Pelé, Vice-President Hamilton Mourão, and Jorge Paulo Lemann. Pedro avidly follows financial markets, enjoys working out, and fosters dogs.

DISEC Director

Yash is a senior concentrating in English at Harvard College. He has chaired committees at HMUN, HNMUN, and WorldMUN, and has served on the leadership of Harvard’s Intercollegiate Model UN team. In particular, he is interested in Indian politics and in environmental justice, and likes to write fiction.
Andrew YJ Kim

Andrew YJ Kim

ECOFIN Director

Andrew is a senior at Harvard College studying Economics and Sociology. He served as the Secretary-General of Harvard National Model United Nations and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Harvard International Relations Council. Outside of Model UN, Andrew worked part-time as a campus tour guide and is a member of the Catholic Student Association. He looks forward to making GCMUN 2022 a great experience for all delegates!

Fernando Urbina

Fernando Urbina

SOCHUM Director

Fernando is a Senior at Harvard studying Government with a Secondary Field in Ethnicity, Migration, & Rights. He served as a Secretariat member for Harvard National Model United Nations in 2020 and 2021. Fernando also currently serves as the Director of Outreach at ImmigrationHelp.org, a legal nonprofit helping individuals prepare their immigration forms for free. Fernando really enjoys board games, hiking, and hanging out with friends.
Janna Ramadam

Janna Ramadam

SPECPOL Director

Janna is a third year at Harvard studying Government and Modern Middle East Studies, especially interested in decolonization, state-building, and conflict resolution. She serves as a member of the International Relations Council Board of Directors, has competed as part of Harvard’s InterCollegiate MUN team, and has directed at four of Harvard’s MUN conferences (HMUN, HNMUN, HMUN Dubai, and WorldMUN). Janna also serves as the President of the Institute of Politics, Harvard’s central public service organization housing 16 programs serving over 900 undergraduate students. In her free time, you’ll find her drinking to tea, biking around Boston, or attempting to cross things off her bucket list – currently learning to play the ukulele!
Roshni Chakraborti

Roshni Chakraborti

LEGAL Director

Roshni is a senior at Harvard College studying gender and migration. She served as an Under-Secretary-General at HMUN and directed committees at HNMUN, HMUN China, and HMUN India. She spend most of her time doing research and policy design on humanitarian responses to conflicts, natural disasters, and forced migration. She enjoys driving around aimlessly, running, and performing with her band.

Rebecca Serson

Rebecca Serson

DISEC Director

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Rebeca is a senior at Harvard studying Economics with a secondary in Government. Her passion for and involvement in Model UN started in high school, where she participated in conferences in Brazil and abroad, and continued onto college, where Rebeca chaired and organized many of Harvard’s conferences and debated as a delegate for Harvard’s Module UN team. Apart from Model UN, Rebeca spends her time at Harvard as a course assistant for Mathematics and interning at Endeavor, a global non-profit that helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
Usman Omer

Usman Omer

ECOFIN Director

Usman is a junior at Harvard College studying Applied Mathematics, Economics, and Government. He served as the Head Delegate of the Intercollegiate Model United Nations Team (Harvard’s competitive Model UN team) while serving on the dais of multiple Harvard-hosted Model UN conferences. He is also the Chair of the Harvard Pakistan Forum, a yearly conference bringing together politicians, public policy experts, economists, and business people to discuss issues relevant to Pakistan. Usman aspires to weave a career at the intersection of finance and diplomacy. Outside of Model UN, Usman enjoys listening to classical music and following the financial markets.

Jonathan Zhang

Jonathan Zhang

SPECPOL Director

Jonathan Zhang is a junior at Harvard University living in Lowell House concentrating in Social Studies with a secondary concentration in Computer Science and a language citation in Arabic. Before Harvard, he was a Davis Scholarship recipient and attended the United World College (UWC) in New Mexico. Jonathan is fluent in Spanish and Mandarin and studied abroad in Argentina and China. On campus, Jonathan is the President of International Relations on Campus (IRoC), Director-General for HMUN India Emeritus, and is proud to be the Director-General for HNMUN-LA 2022. When not engaging in philosophical debates, he enjoys being outdoors or baking his famous lemon squares.
Kiara Gomez

Kiara Gomez

LEGAL Director

Kiara is a senior at Harvard College with a degree in Government and Social Anthropology. She has served as the Treasurer for the Harvard International Relations Council, been on the Secretariat for HMUN China and two iterations of HNMUN, and directed at HMUN and HNMUN Latin America. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new cities, watching movies with her friends, and online window shopping.
